An international initiative

11,000 kilometres of distance. 6 hours of time difference… two countries and one international initiative! What are we talking about? Our new international initiative!

It is with great pleasure that we announce an educational project between Oxford Primary School and Saint Andrews School in Bolivia. We are very happy that in a situation where international school exchanges have been suspended, our ‘Oxford’ school has succeeded!

We started working with a private English speaking school in La Paz. We wanted the groups learning Spanish to put their knowledge into practice and learn about the culture, customs, flora and fauna and history of Bolivia at source.

Last week, the Year 7 children connected online with their peers on another continent. During the conference we exchanged information and had the opportunity to introduce ourselves and say something about ourselves in Spanish. After short presentations, it was time for questions. There was no shortage of questions in English. We already know which animals live in the Bolivian steppe. What Bolivian cities look like and whether the spiders are really that big!

lass 7 is currently preparing presentations about Poland. Next week we will be able to go online again and show the children of Bolivia our beautiful country! We are already looking forward to this next meeting!!! 🙂!
